David Redding has been involved in ministry since he could remember. Singing in the choir while watching his dad as the Minister of Music (Johnnie) and mom (Alice) as the Choir Director serve in Ministry over 20 years at a church in Hartford Connecticut. As a child David knew he was destined for ministry because of the burning desire to worship God and play church as kids. David would always end up being the preacher.
David was fortunate to play basketball and graduate from Mississippi State University. After graduating he moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he met his wife Cindy at Daystar Family Church. David and Cindy have served in many capacities in ministry over their many years together. They have served as Worship Pastors for 7 years, Youth Pastors for 3 years, Campus Pastors for 5 years, and Executive Lead Pastors for 5 years. Cindy has served in Kids ministry for 15 years, she loves those babies.
Starting in January of 2023 God gave a prophetic word to David that sewed a seed that he couldn’t shake. God began speaking to him about His Church-Tuscaloosa, in the Hillcrest area of Tuscaloosa. In December of 2023 God clearly spoke to David after 24 years and Cindy after 20 years of being at a place of familiarity and comfort to step out in faith to start a ministry. A ministry that Looks like Heaven, Feels like Heaven, and Sounds like Heaven.
David and Cindy have recently celebrated 20 years of marriage and reside in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. They have 4 amazing kids, Cassidy, DJ, Israel, and Judah. David coaches basketball at Hillcrest Middle School. Cindy decided to follow her dream to go to nursing school and graduated in December of 2022. She is now a Labor and Delivery nurse working with babies everyday. It has been their pleasure to serve the Hillcrest area over the years.
